The Muslim Students Society of Nigeria, is a non-profit students organisation working for the Spiritual and Moral Development of Muslim Students in all Formal and Non-Formal Educational Institutions in the country. It Also promotes the Rights and Empowerment of Muslim students all over the Country.

To continuously strive towards strengthening the Ummah educationally, economically, spiritually and politically through a wide spectrum of activities in schools and the larger society in partnership with likeminded organizations.

To ensure that its members are God fearing, knowledgeable, united and with superior moral values

Our Stratas

For administrative purposes, the Lagos State Area Unit is broken into Area Councils. The Area Councils organize various programmes to impact the lives of members Spiritually, morally and academically. They are also responsible for coordinating the activities of the Secondary schools, Higher institutions and Central Branches within their jurisdiction.

Secondary Schools

This is a Post Primary School level and forms the bedrock of the society. The society was formed at this strata. As the only Muslim religious society recognized in secondary schools; It is responsible for moulding students at this level Morally, Academically and Spiritually.

It coordinates the affairs of all the Muslim Students in the society. These activities include MSS meetings, MSS days, Tutorial classes etc.

Higher Institutions

The higher institutions strata includes Universities, Polytechnics, Colleges of Education and other post Secondary School institutions. It sees to the affairs of Muslim students within the Higher Institution setting.

These affairs include: protection of their Civil and Religious rights, safeguarding them from any form of attack or intimidation. It should be said that the society has reformed and transformed thousands of students at this level of the society. These are carried out through series of well Planned Spiritual and Academic activities. Some of them are: orientation week, Usrah, Jihad Week, Seminars etc.

Central Branches

This is a special strata of the society. It’s at par with the higher institutions Branch. The Central Branch is meant for Secondary School leavers, Graduates, Artisans etc. Thus, any individual that neither belongs to the Secondary School or Higher Institutions branch automatically belongs to the Central Branch.

Central Branches engage Members in activities such as: Usrah, workshop, empowerment programs amongst others. This level plays a very important role in the society as a good number of its members are working class.

The likeness of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah, is as the likeness of a grain (of corn); it grows seven ears, and each ear has a hundred grains. Allah gives manifold increase to whom He wills.
